There’s a line in “I Won’t Be Home for Christmas” that keeps sticking in my head, sadly. The guy’s in jail and says something like there’s no tree but “a guy name Bubba unwrapped my package.” I never know whether to find this seriously funny or seriously depressing. Yeah, my friends don’t always agree with my choices in Christmas music, even the ones I consider traditional (because I grew up with them) like Johnny Cash’s “The Ballad of the Harp Weaver.”
